#1 products i wished i believed in…loreal elvive extraordinary oil hair enhancer

So lets kick off the series!

Okay so i bought this hair serum/oil thinking omg its loreal and its extraordinary; wow it sounds magical and amazing.

I think i spent around £6 on it which was quite expensive when i compared it to others in the ale like VO5 etc.

More over, i have to say the packaging is amazing , beautiful glass bottle , the oil smells so good. So whats wrong with it?

THE OIL… This product makes my hair so greasy! Like omg i put the tiniest bit on my hands, rub them together and put it on the ends of my hair and seriously the next day my hair feels greasy and heavy.

I wanted something that will keep my hair silky , smooth, healthy and non frizzy. Also NOT greasy!

I dont believe this product has bought any benefits to my life even though it claims to be weightless and perfect! I use it after i have washed my hair however i am going to try it as an over night treatment to see if it makes a difference and i will let you know how i get on!
Sorry loreal! Also i have to say the shampoo and conditioners in that range are also rubbish and do nothing 😦 head and shoulders all the way!!

So guys if you know any great hair products please let me know cause am on the hunt!

Orange is the new black…

FullSizeRenderYes, that was a very cheesy cliché title , but very appropriate indeed! This summer is all about channelling your inner bronze goddess , which means pop colours!

P.S please excuse my untidy eyebrows!

Smokey eyes this summer and spring? – no!

A  few months ago , I was obsessed with matte skin tone eye shadows , so I decided to order a few shades from Kiko Makeup Milano.  However , it’s really hard to tell what colours your ordering online and I  ended up getting not what I expected. Oh well, it all worked out for the best.

The colours that I got were:

204 mat apricot £2.80

205 golden coral £2.80

Review: the matte shade is a bit chalky and is low on pigment , it’s best to apply it with your finger as the colour looks much brighter and stronger. You do need a primer as the staying power is low!

The sparking shade is a better pigment, you can build it up and make it darker! The sparkle is subtle, which I like and the colour is an amazing shade of orange, not what I expected!

Orange and ultra violet purple is a perfect combination and I am obsessed , It’s perfect for the summer , as it’s not over the top but enough to stand out!

Heres how I did it:

FullSizeRender1) I primed the eye using BD make up even smoother eye primer.

2) Applied a matte highlighter to the base of the eye and under the brow bone. I do this to create layers, which will increase the staying power , also a whiter base will make the second colour more pigmented.

FullSizeRender[1]3) Used my finger and dabbed the matte shade all over my lid, as you can see it looks really messy! It does the job haha.

4) I got the darker shade of orange and applied it to my crease with a blending brush. I did this several times to increase brightness.

I then, Lined my eye with felt-tip  liner and applied mascara . For the corners of my eye , I applied a bronze eye shadow.

Under the eye , I used Kiko long lasting stick eyeshadow – shade 13… I love theses sticks ; they are so multifunctional , pigmented and creamy , as well as having a good staying power. Totally recommend . I followed this colour under my eye all the way to the inner corner and mixed it with the bronze , for that bright eye look.

Some of you guessed it.. Makeup Revolutions ultra cover and conceal palette! Review and tutorial below

Thank you all who commented and gave a go on the guessing game on my previous post. The correct answer is Makeup Revolutions. So I can already feel that this is going to be a long post. I am going first do a review and give a few tips and then show you how I used the product! Aren’t you guys lucky haha 😀

First of all, I picked this product up on Monday ;from Superdrugs for £6. It literally feels like the biggest bargain in the world as you get 8 concealers!!! You can get this product in light , medium and dark. I got light ,this was because  I wanted to use it for a light cream highlighter under my eyes.  I think this is a great dupe for the light shades in the Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour kit!

You have 8 colours to play around with ,which means you can really find the perfect colour for under your eyes and cheekbones.

Secondly, I’d like to say that I would not recommend this as an under eye correct and concealer as all the colours are light; this will give you that ashy grey look. So , I would begin by correcting and concealing my eyes .

I have to give it to Makeup Revolution , as soon as I put my fingers on the colours my fingers melt into it, their so creamy and blendable! I honestly love that about them. Also, you get so much product!!!!!! Who needs high end products!? HEY

Another point, if you have dry skin like me, using this product alone will really  highlight them areas on your face ; not good. To overcome this, really moisturise your face and for extra guarantee add a bit of oil with the creams so the dry patches don’t show up. However , if you have oily or combination skin this won’t be a problem.

Lets get on to the tutorial.  Firstly, as you can see I got my wet beauty blender sponge and swirled it around into 3 shades of colour. The great thing about this palette , you can literally use any of the colours so create the light look. I then dabbed it on to my face, creating a triangle on my cheek.

As you can see it looks really light, perfect. I then blended it all in using my blender!

Just another angle haha. Next, I used my Bobbi Brown sheer press powder , in the shade sand and powdered that on and buffed it all in. In the picture below , I look a bit ghostly; kind of scary!

After this , I NEEDED to add some colour to my face ,So I used my sleek contour kit in medium. I contoured my cheeks, forehead , jaw and nose. I then, added some of the sleek highlighter to my cheeks to make them glisten.

Below, you can see the many photos that I took on my phone ; some with flash and some without , where you can see the affect of contouring in natural light.. Excuse my dodgy wing eyeliner, the beauty blender smudged it.

Hope you enjoyed , loves xox

Bigger, brighter and whiter eyes..

The obession of having big black thick rims around our eyes is soon changing, people have started to go for the “awake look”. This is simply by applying white eyeliner on your lower lash water line and the inner corner of your eye. This really highlights the area, making it look bigger than before. The art of illusion.  The first time you apply it , it will look kind of strange as it takes a while to adjust to. I decided to go out and buy a cheap one.

So here is my review on make up revolution ” amazing inner eye brightener”. I have to say, it is far from amazing , infact I am extremely disapointed. When I first tested it on my hand the colour looked perfect and creamy. However, when I applied this to my lower water line, the colour clings to my lower lashes and this has provided difficult to remove. Also the colour, doesnt stay on the water line and disapears in less than half anhour. Although, it does decide to stay on my lashes, giving a rather messy look. It was not worth the £2.50 and when I opened it earlier a chuck of the crayon fell off!! Not cool..  I would suggest buying a good water proof pencil as the pay off and pigments will last longer. If anyone knows any please feel free to suggest!   Loves xoxo
